Fire Storm Roller Derby was founded in August of 2015.  We are Orange County’s only Open Gender Roller Derby Team.

Fire Storm formed from that little spark that burns inside all of us.  Those who banded together to create this team allowed that spark to grow into a bonfire that continued to build with our passion for roller derby.  The founders of the team wanted a team based on the skaters and their love of the sport.  They joined together and lit the flame that started Fire Storm.

This team is made up of men, women, and non binary people from all over the Hudson Valley and Northern Jersey.  We hope to expand as we share our passion with those around us.  We have skill levels ranging from “Never been on skates” up to “I’ve been skating my entire life” and everything in between. “No experience needed” is the truth, and we are happy to help you learn as you go, wherever you are starting from.

We are determined to work hard, play harder and have fun while we do it.  We love helping the community that supports us as well, and are always up for fun events.  If you are interested in joining the team as a skater, a ref, a volunteer, or even a fan – contact us!  We’d love to hear from you.  If you are interesting in sponsoring the team, running a fundraiser or advertising with the team, give us a shout.
